HOLD ME DEAR FILM LAUNCHES!
The Hold Me Dear film launched last night at exhibition 'A Feeling of Connection to Place' in collaboration with HERE+NOW - Edinburgh based place-making and design studio.
Thanks again to all those of you from around the world who contributed a short video clip about a place they treasure to the film. For those that couldn't make the exhibition launch, you can check out the film here!
The exhibition 'A Feeling of Connection to Place' featured a mix of photographic, visual art and film work, all relating to the sense of connection we feel to a certain place. Other works included original photography from Jenny Humberstone and her collaborative film with brother Ian Humberstone during their artist residency with The Bothy Project. This film explored the visual and auditory cues that help define a sense of place inspired by the landscape around the Inshriach Bothy, near Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands. You can check out their blog about their week residency at the bothy here.
Hold Me Dear's sister organisation - HERE+NOW who curated the exhibition, also showcased some of their films documenting their place-making and community engagement work in Edinburgh.
