Hallgrimskirkja, Reykjavik, Iceland

I have twice visited this fascinating 244 foot high concrete church, built on a hill, and resembling the basalt rocks of Iceland. Inside the decoration is sparse, but the wood work of the pews and pulpit is beautiful. The most impressive feature is the organ with 5275 pipes, which I was privileged to hear on my first visit. _ _ _ Brenda Disbrey, UK
