Holywell Bay, Cornwall, UK

Obscured by sand dunes when you approach, once scaled, an expanse of golden sand is revealed. At low tide the kids would paddle in the rock pools with their fishing nets and the shallow stream was always a favourite place, being warmer than the sea, exploring the cave was scary for kids and grownups alike.
